Rules and Tournament Info

Open the sections below for the most important tournament rules and practical information.

01 Game format and time caps

All games are played to 13 points. The following time rules apply:

  • Hard time cap: 45 minutes. At time cap the current point is played to completion. If a team is then leading by more than 2 points, the game is over.
  • Half-time cap: 25 minutes or 7 points (whichever comes first).
  • Timeouts: 1 timeout per team per game, lasting 75 seconds.
  • Be ready at the field before the listed start time.
  • The tournament organizer can adjust timing if needed.
02 Tournament structure

7 teams are divided into two pools. All games are played on Saturday on Bane 5 and Bane 6.

  • Pool A (4 teams): full round robin (6 games).
  • Pool B (3 teams): full round robin (3 games).
  • Top 4 crossovers: the top 2 from each pool play semifinals (A1 vs B2, A2 vs B1), followed by a bronze match and final.
  • Bottom 3 round robin: the remaining teams (A3, A4, B3) play a round robin to determine 5th, 6th, and 7th place.
  • There is a 20-minute break (14:00 – 14:20) between pool play and the playoff rounds.
03 Score reporting

After each match, both teams should submit the score and Spirit of the Game points through the Submit Score page.

  • Each team reports once per game.
  • If both teams report the same score, the result is confirmed.
  • If the score does not match, the game is marked as a mismatch for the organizer.
